Former sergeant John Bidmead, 80 years, has passed away. He worked around the Doncaster District including town centre and Adwick, he retired as Sergeant. His funeral is to be at 12.20pm on Wednesday 26 June 2019 at Rosehill Crematorium, Doncaster.

Roy Gilberthorpe, 74 years, passed away on 12 June 2019. Roy served in Rotherham, Maltby, Dinnington and West Bar. Roy's funeral is to take place at 2.30pm on Monday 24 June 2019 at Whiston Parish Church, Whiston, Rotherham.

Former Inspector Barry Skillington, 82 years, passed away on 7 June 2019. His funeral took place on Wednesday 19 June 2019.

Former sergeant David Edward Pagdin, 82 years, passed away on 6 May 2019. At the time of his retirement he was serving at West Bar. Funeral details are unknown but it may have taken place already.

Former sergeant Roger Wilfred Sykes, 83 years died suddenly on Thursday 30 May 2019 in Doncaster Hospital after a short illness. He retired as Sergeant at Doncaster having worked in various posts around the district. There are no funeral details at present and will be circulated when known.

Retired Sgt Norman Coxall, he was 96yrs of age and a member of Rotherham NARPO.  Norman served mainly at Rawmarsh sub division and retired whilst serving at Wath.  Prior to joining the Police Norman served in the Navy and was one of the few remaining servicemen involved in the Arctic convoys.  For those who knew and worked with Norman he will be remembered fondly.  His funeral took place on 14 may 2019. 

Former DC 1177 Robert (Bob) Davis, formerly of Woodseats, the Force Drug Squad who, latterly, worked as an interview trainer at the Force Training Department.  Bob has lived in Florida for some time and he passed away in the early hours of yesterday (5.5.19) after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease and, latterly, colon cancer.  

Former PC 3190 Sharon Chapman, 61 years, passed away yesterday (14 April 2019) in Rotherham Hospice after a short illness. She was surrounded by her family. Sharon was a police cadet joining the regular force in 1976. She began her service in uniform at Hammerton Road Police Station, followed by postings to HQ Criminal Records and Antecedents Departments, after which she served at West Bar. She instructed first aid on a part time and then full time basis at the Force training centre followed by a return to uniform duties at Sheffield South and finally she worked with the Youth Offending Team prior to retirement in 2007. She was a former national police first aid champion. Sharon's funeral was held at on 1 May 2019.

 
Former sergeant 784 Keith Glover, 74 years, passed away on 9 April 2019 in Chester-le-Street. Keith was a colourful character who served at West Bar and as a student instructor at Dishforth. Keith's funeral will tale place at 10.30am on Tuesday 7 May 2019 at St. Mary's & St. Cuthbert's Church, Chester-le-Street, County Durham. No flowers. Mourners are requested to wear something blue.
 
Former sergeant William Richard Peter Carrier (known as Peter), 89 years, passed away on 31 March 2019. Peter served in uniform and CID at Attercliffe. Funeral details are not known at this time.
 
Former colleague Paul Saunders, 53 years died on Friday 29 March 2019 in St John's Hospice Balby Doncaster. after a short illness of cancer. Paul was a New Zealander joining SYP working within the Doncaster District mainly A2 area both in uniform and CID. His funeral took place at on Monday 15 April 2019.
 
Former DC Robert (known as Bob or RQ) Kelly age 69 years died on Saturday 16 March 2019. He worked around the Doncaster District in various roles both in uniform and CID. Bob's funeral took place on 2 April 2019.
 
Former detective sergeant John Chettleburgh, 80 years, has passed away. He had been in poor health for some time. John served across Sheffield and was in Headquarters Criminal Records office for many years. John's funeral took place on Monday 1 April 2019.
 
Former Superintendent John Brougham, 82 years, passed away on 2 March 2019. John served at West Bar, Rotherham, Driving School and Traffic, retiring from there in 1989. John was one of the first motorcyclists in Sheffield City Police. His funeral took place on Thursday 14 March 2019.
 
Former PC George (Spud) Turner, 83 years has passed away. George worked at Hackenthorpe and at Force HQ as a custodian before his retirement in 1986.George was an active sportsman and represented the Force at football and cricket. Spud's funeral took place on Tuesday 26 March 2019.
 
Barrie Gover, 82 years died on Wednesday 27 February 2019. He served in Doncaster from 1965 having previously worked in Sheffield, retiring from Doncaster Road Traffic. Barrie's funeral took place on Wednesday 13 March 2019.
 
Former PC 627 Alan Charles Eyre, 70 years, died on 8 February 2019 at the Rotherham Hospice. Alan was a former Sheffield City cadet, who served the majority of his police service at Woodseats, before retiring on a medical pension after a bad back injury. Alan's funeral took place at 18 February, 2019.
 
Former Chief Inspector Tony Murray, 66 years, passed away on 8 February 2019, Tony worked in Sheffield, Barnsley and in Training. Tony's funeral took place at 1 March 2.019.
 
Former sergeant Roy Jewsbury, 84 years died suddenly on Thursday 31 January 2019. He joined the Doncaster Borough Police going on to serve West Riding and then South Yorkshire Police retiring as Sergeant. He was a member of the Police Choir along with representing the Police at Badmintion. Roy's funeral took place 20 February 2019.
  
Former PC Stan Richardson, 88 years, passed away on 13 January 2019. Stan worked in the Rotherham division. Details of his funeral will be circulated when known.
 
Former Sergeant Derek Wilfred Hyde, 87 years died on Monday 7 January 2019. He retired as Sergeant approximately 1992 working around the Doncaster area. Derek's funeral took place on 24 January 2019.
 
Former PC Bob Turton, 68 years passed away on 28 December 2018. He served in the Barnsley area. His funeral took place on 21 January 2019.

Former Sergeant Robert Mason, 75 years died on Sunday 6 January 2019 after a short illness of cancer. He retired in 1992 as Sergeant working in Community Relations Doncaster having also worked in Maltby area. His funeral took place on 23 January 2019.
