2009
Clive John Warne, 63 years, passed away peacefully after a long illness on
27th June, 2009. A former Superintendent Clive served mainly in Sheffield,
Rotherham and various Headquarters Departments.
Funeral arrangements: Initial Service - 12.30pm Tuesday 7th July, 2009 at
Grenoside Crematorium, North Chapel followed by a celebration of Clive's life.
Mourning clothes are not essential. Donations in lieu of flowers to 'Myeloma UK'
via John Fairest Funeral Home, 10 - 56 Penistone Road North, Wadsley Bridge,
Sheffield S6 1LQ.
Richard Lee BUNTING, 50 years died on 12th June, 2009. At the time of his
retirement in May, 2007, he was a Police Constable based at H.Q. CID.
Funeral will take place at Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium at 10.30a.m. Friday, 19th June, 2009
George Myres, 84 years a former Sergeant at Barnsley Town (B1) died
at Barnsley & District General Hospital on Sunday 31st May 2009.
Funeral arrangements are: Ardsley Crematorium, Barnsley for a full service
at 11.00 Wednesday 10th June 2009.
Peter Owen very peacefully died at 6:37am on the 7th May 2009 at Adwick Ward in
the Montague Hospital, Mexborough. His funeral took place at 10.30am on Thursday
21st May 2009 at St Albans Roman Catholic Church,Denaby Main.
Jack WOOD, 83 years, former Constable at Hammerton Road died on 8th April, 2009.
Funeral took place at Grenoside Crematorium on 23rd April, 2009
at 11.00 Wednesday 10th June 2009.

Gordon Fairburn, 74 years, died on the 8th April, 2009.
Funeral arrangements 2.00 pm Wednesday 22nd April, 2009
at Grenoside Crematorium, Sheffield.
Gordon was a member of the Sheffield Branch; for many years
he worked at Attercliffe and latterly served at the Central
Charge Office, Bridge Street, Sheffield.
Gwen GOODHAND former Detective Policewoman Constable died earlier
to-day. (02.03.09) Information came from Iris Huntington.

Roy Jarvis passed away in Western Park Hospital, Sheffield yesterday (07.02.2009) after a long battle with cancer, his family were with him.
Funeral 11.00 am Monday 16th February, 2009 at Grenoside Crematorium, Sheffield.
Afterwards to the SYP Sports & Social Club, Niagara Conference & Leisure, Wadsley Bridge, Sheffield.
Eric MASON, 83 years, former Inspector in the Charge Office, Water Lane, Sheffield died on Sunday, 25th January, 2009, at his home in Wood Enderby, Lincolnshire.
Gerard (Jed) FINNIGAN , 67 years, died on the 24th January, 2009 in the Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield. Funeral arrangements not yet known.
George RHODES, 85 years, former Constable at Woodseats Division who served his last 8 years on the Reception Desk at Police Headquarters
died on 1st January, 2009.
Funeral will take place at Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium , Sheffield, 2.00 p.m. Monday, 12th January, 2009.
