Sadly the following members have died during the year:

It has been reported in last weeks Free Press that ex P.C. Reg Rowse died on 27th December after a long illlness. I have made enquiries at the Doncaster Cooperative Funeral Service & ascertained that the Funeral Service will take place at Rose Hill Crematorium at 2.40pm. THIS FRIDAY 8TH JANUARY 2009. Derek HICKINSON, 65 years, former Inspector at Ecclesfield died in
St Luke's Hospice on 14th December, 2009. Date of Funeral not yet known.

Charles ILLINGWORTH, former Inspector at Hammerton Road Police Station,
died on Saturday, 5th December, 2009, aged 103 years. He joined the Sheffield
City Police in 1927. He retired 52 years ago.
He will be cremated at Chesterfield Crematorium at 10am Monday, 14th December, 2009.
Charles ILLINGWORTH, former Inspector at Hammerton Road Police Station,
died on Saturday, 5th December, 2009, aged 103 years. He joined the Sheffield
City Police in 1927. He retired 52 years ago.
He will be cremated at Chesterfield Crematorium at 10am Monday, 14th December, 2009.
Thanksgiving Service for Charles will be held at 2pm Monday, 14th December, 2009,
at St Peters Church, Edensor, Chatsworth

John LINDLEY, 72 years, former Detective Sergeant at Ecclesfield died
in the Sheffield Royal Hallamshire Hospital on Wednesday, 18th
November, 2009.
The funeral arrangements Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium on Friday, 27th November,
2009 at 2.30p.m. Those attending the funeral are invited to the Phoenix Public
House at Ridgeway after the service.

Retired Police Constable Bernard Irving died at his home address
in Royston on Wednesday 14th October, 2009.
The funeral will take place at Ardsley Crematorium at 10.30 a.m.

Jack Coe, 85 years, died in hospital on Friday 11th September, 2009 after
a long illness.
He served in Rotherham Borough Police, Sheffield & Rotherham Constabulary
and the South Yorkshire Police.
At the time of his retirement he was a Superintendent at Headquarters.

Clive John Warne, 63 years, passed away peacefully after a long illness on
27th June, 2009. A former Superintendent Clive served mainly in Sheffield,
Rotherham and various Headquarters Departments.
Funeral arrangements: Initial Service - 12.30pm Tuesday 7th July, 2009 at
Grenoside Crematorium, North Chapel followed by a celebration of Clive's life.
Mourning clothes are not essential. Donations in lieu of flowers to 'Myeloma UK'
via John Fairest Funeral Home, 10 - 56 Penistone Road North, Wadsley Bridge,
Sheffield S6 1LQ.
