Geoff Garnham has died. His funeral will take place at
11am On Friday 16th December, 2011 at Barnsley Crematorium
followed by refreshments at Ardsley House.

Retired Pc 2459 Howard Taylor, died on 29th November
2011 (b.1.5.1938) Howard was well known for his work as
a Police Officer but also as a Federation Officer locally.
Howard will be interned at Boston Crematorium at 12.40pm
next Friday 16TH DECEMBER 2011.

Samuel J Wrest, who joined Barnsley Borough Police in 1941
and retired as a Superintendent during the West Yorkshire days
has died. His funeral is on Tuesday 15 November 2011 at

of retirement in 1992 he was Superintendent in the Training Department.

Ben Gregory died on the 21..8..11. He was 89 years old
and served 41 years in Barnsley Boro and Division, retiring
as Supt. The funeral was held before Police and NARPO
were informed but as a personal request he did have two
police horses there.

David Hellewell, 67 years, who retired some years ago as a
uniformed Chief Inspector at Barnsley has sadly passed
away on Monday 2nd May 2011.
David also served at Doncaster and Force Headquarters.

William Stuart Brown aged 83 years died 3/1/11.
Funeral at Laughton-on-Le-Morthen Parish Church
Nr Rotherham at 11.00hrs on 19/1/11.
All ex-collegues welcome.
William was a serving officer in Rotherham Borough
and South Yorkshire Police and later a civilian
member of staff. He spent a number of years on
the traffic dept.
