		The dinner was held on Thursday 5th October, 2006 at Niagara with 125 Old Comrades attending. Charles Illingworth, in his hundredth year, was the guest of honour and gave a short account of his service. Of particular interest was hearing about his time with Sir Percy Sillitoe during the Sheffield Gang Wars. Sir Percy founded our Association in 1928. At the conclusion of his few words Charles received a standing ovation.
A long standing member of the Association Jack Silkstone wears his Association tie with pride. Sadly Jack passed away in July, 2007.
2005		Good Food Good Company Good Wine
The Association Secretary makes a tie available to each new member. Some try to get two, but he is wise.

		Association Secretary Roy Shenton, microphone in hand, gives his annual address to the Old Comrades. Always well received. Applause follow!
The proceeds of the Charity Collection is handed over by Graham Delaney to Peter Darling Chief Executive Officer of the SYP Sports & Social Club - a member of the Association in his own right.
